German Police Bust Major Dark Web Dealer in Cologne, Arrest Four & Seize one Million Euros in Cash
Investigators arrested four suspects of a digital drug gang in a major raid in Cologne. Among other things, they found a drug laboratory and more than one million euros in cash in ten objects.
Cologne investigators have succeeded in smashing a dealer ring that is said to have sold drugs on a large scale on the Darknet.
The six German citizens between the ages of 25 and 56 are suspected of having sold around 280 kilograms of amphetamine, 1.3 kilograms of the “party drug” MDMA and more than 11,000 ecstasy tablets on various platforms on the Darknet since April 2018.
The gang is also said to have handled more than 100 kilograms of marijuana and 29 kilograms of hashish via other distribution channels.
More than 60 police officers, SEK forces, public prosecutors and tax investigators were involved in the major raid on Tuesday.
Ten apartments and commercial premises in Cologne and in the Rhein-Erft district were searched.
In one apartment, the investigators found a drug laboratory in which ecstasy tablets were pressed. In addition, raw materials for drug production and more than one million euros in cash were secured.
Four of the accused were arrested.
